Danyel is a legend of music journalism. She is the former EIC of Vibe magazine, the former culture editor at ESPN’s The Undefeated and the former editor of Billboard. Her writing has touched such publications as NPR, The Washington Post, and The New York Times. Right now, she’s working with Spotify and The Ringer, hosting a podcast by the name of Black Girl Songbook.
Danyel spoke to the team about this new venture and how her career inside and outside of music and journalism helped her prepare for it.
